At WPE-DK, we not only develop and produce high-performance UHPC materials—we also create custom UHPC solutions in our dedicated laboratory in Denmark, tailored to the specific needs of our clients around the world.
This month, we were awarded a significant contract by an internationally operating construction company to develop UHPC concentrates for three non-European projects. The aim is to enhance the performance of locally sourced cements, particularly in terms of workability and technical characteristics.
The client has set precise performance goals. Based on previous tests using European cements, they are confident that similarly outstanding results can be achieved with cements from outside Europe.
The process is clear and structured:
- The client provides us with their preferred local cement types.
- We conduct comprehensive material testing in our lab.
- We develop custom UHPC concentrates optimized for each local cement.
- The combined mixtures (local cement + UHPC concentrate) are tested according to DIN standards and local regulations.
- Once approved, we move into production phase.
In this case, the client has opted to purchase the full rights to the three UHPC concentrate formulations—ensuring they have complete ownership and flexibility for future use.
Additionally, discussions are underway regarding a localized production setup. Should the client proceed, WPE-DK will provide full technical support, including plant setup assistance and training of local personnel.
This project is a strong example of how tailored UHPC solutions can unlock new levels of quality and efficiency—even in challenging environments with variable cement qualities. We’re proud to be part of that transformation.
